Welcome to the first lecture of the OMO Esoteric Primer Series!

We hope you will enjoy the series. Remember: we are happy to receive your feedback at any time, so that we can make this the best lecture series possible. See series details and costs for further information.

Time: 7-9 p.m.
Location: Wilfrid Laurier University--St. Michael's Campus, Room STM 127

Please try to be punctual: registration will open at 6:45 the hopes that we can get administrative details out of the way quickly and leave the maximum amount of time for presentation and discussion; late-comers can register at the break. We must end on time so that organisers can do a quick debrief of the session.

Proposed Order of the Day:

  1. 6:45 Registration opens
  2. 7:10 Getting to know one another
    • Hosts and participants introduce themselves briefly
    • Share only what you're comfortable sharing
    • You may use your real name, an esoteric moniker you are accustomed to using, or you might like to get into the spirit of things and come up with an alchemically-inspired name for the purpose of this lecture series

The goal is to get some initial sense of community, including our individual and our common hopes and aspirations for the series and for the future

  3. 7:20 Introduction to Ordo Magni Operis (a.k.a. OMO)
    • The founders and their vision
    • Rights and left-hand paths
    • Spirituality versus religion
    • Our fundamental postulate and model
  4. 8:00 Break
  5. 8:10 Brief introduction to Alchemy
  6. 8:50 Feedback
  7. 9:00 End of session
