The 0° or probationary level is intended to provide opportunity for graduates of the Esoteric Primer series who were found to be a good fit with a local Sōdalitās and vice versa to evaluate potential affiliation as initiates without having to make a full commitment in advance, and vice versa.
The 0° programme begins with a formal Induction ritual at the Vernal Equinox, and lasts nine months.
During the first six months, Probationers are involved in an on-going programme of instruction centring on consciousness and our relationship, from mundane and esoteric perspectives. The curriculum includes the following materials:

• additional materials concerning core subjects covered in the Esoteric Primer series
• Ken Wilbur's No Boundary
• Arthur Deikman's The Observing Self
• excerpts from the works of Carl Gustav Jung
• materials on other subjects bearing on Order philosophy and its system of magic, including more work in Classical Hebrew

Following a general examination, Probationers continuing by mutual agreement participate in an Individuation ritual at Autumnal Equinox.
The last three months of the 0° programme is geared towards preparation towards Initiate membership.
