Succession

|

Ideally, the two members of a leadership team should be good complements and equal.

However, from time to time (e.g. due to cessation of membership, resignation, or retirement) a leader will have to be replaced, and the replacement may require some time to familiarise him/herself with his/her new role.

When this happens, the new leader will be identified as the temporarily "junior" leader. In such as case, the team will make every effort to work together as equals, though when necessary the senior member of the team will have the privilege of making necessary decisions.

When the junior leader has become sufficiently seasoned, his/her superiors will grant him/her full leadership status.
